With Pure Storage’s customer conference, Pure Accelerate 2025, happening June 17-19 in Las Vegas, Cohesity is excited to announce new data protection capabilities that are designed to enhance cyber resilience, simplify operations, and accelerate innovation for Pure Storage customers.
New: Data protection of Pure Storage Protection Groups
Cohesity now supports backup of Pure Storage Protection Groups for Pure Storage FlashArray block storage to deliver powerful end-to-end data protection and cyber resilience for modern enterprises. Cohesity supports Pure’s Protection Groups for application-consistent recovery—extending data protection beyond local snapshots to include long-term retention, cloud archiving, and ransomware-resilient backups. This means customers get both local speed and long-term resilience—essential for compliance, recovery, and cyber insurance readiness. It also allows customers to balance performance and cost more effectively.
Coming soon: Data Protection of Pure FlashBlade S3 Object Storage*
Cohesity and Pure Storage customers will soon be able to back up and recover mission-critical S3 object stores running on Pure FlashBlade—the industry’s first all-flash, scale-out file and object storage platform. FlashBlade is purpose-built for high-performance and immediate access to mission-critical file and object data. Customers can back up and recover entire S3 buckets running on FlashBlade or choose specific prefixes for more granular recovery options. With Cohesity’s unified platform, managing file, block, and object data becomes simpler and more secure. Combining Cohesity’s AI-powered data security and Pure FlashBlade’s performance and reliability will empower customers to enhance cyber resilience, manage their unstructured object data at scale, and support modern workloads like AI, analytics, and high-performance applications.
* Expected to be generally available in the second half of calendar year 2025.
These two new capabilities above enhance Cohesity’s data protection of Pure Storage workloads and enable joint customers to simplify backup and recovery through policy-driven automation, while enhancing data security with immutable backup copies, encryption, multifactor authentication, and more. IT and security teams can benefit from streamlined operations, faster recovery, and unified visibility across environments—whether on-prem or in the cloud. Cohesity also supports automatic, policy-based archival and tiering to lower-cost storage on Pure FlashBlade to balance performance, cost, and compliance more effectively.
With Cohesity and Pure Storage, organizations can confidently protect mission-critical workloads, meet compliance mandates, and strengthen their ransomware defense strategy—all through a single, unified platform.
